Twitter & Common Craft
Twitter is going through a resurgence this year, a lot like Facebook did last year. Interesting how 2.0 sites seem to need some incubation time before exploding into the mainstream. But that’s not what this post is about.
I use Twitter to keep track of trends and the people that are setting them. Sure, I also follow a few friends, but generally they’re setting trends too. It’s a great way to tread water in the fishbowl. If you have a Twitter account, stop reading. If you don’t know why anyone would want to post, much less read, 140-character blurbs - or you don’t know what Twitter is, then watch this:
Common Craft is awesome. They make these fantastically simple “how-to” videos for lots of things like Blogs, Social Bookmarking, Wikis, even Zombies, and it makes it easy for geeks like me to show non-geeks what stuff means.
